Onder de artistieke leiding van dansmaker, muzikant en dans- en bewegingstherapeut Job Cornelissen ontwikkelt Bewogen Werken projecten op het snijvlak van de podiumkunsten en de gezondheidszorg. Met thema’s als ‘Welzijn’, ‘Ziekte’, ‘(Mentale) Gezondheid’, ‘Zinvol en/of Bewust Leven’ en ‘Dood’ als uitgangspunt, wordt de expressieve kracht van dans en muziektheater ingezet om deze thema’s theatraal zichtbaar, hoorbaar en voelbaar te maken voor het publiek, waaronder cliënten en patiënten.
In de aanpak van Bewogen Werken vormt de positieve invloed van de kunsten op veerkracht altijd het vertrekpunt, maar de balans tussen het uiteindelijke artistieke eindproduct en het proces daarnaartoe wordt bepaald op basis van wat een project vereist. Met oog voor diversiteit en inclusiviteit worden de projecten van Bewogen Werken vormgegeven en uitgevoerd door een team van professionele kunstenaars en individuen uit verschillende cliëntgroepen.

Ook waren we de Nederlandse partner in Moving Kinship Europe, onder artistieke leiding van Beatrice Allegranti en in samenwerking met WarmThuis en De Nederlandse Dansdagen. Under the artistic direction of dance maker, musician, and dance and movement therapist Job Cornelissen, Bewogen Werken develops projects at the intersection of the performing arts and healthcare. With themes such as ‘Well-being’, ‘Illness’, ‘(Mental) Health’, ‘Living Meaningfully and/or Consciously’, and ‘Death’ as its foundation, it employs the expressive power of dance and music theatre to make these themes theatrically visible, audible, and tangible for audiences, including clients and patients.
In Bewogen Werken’s approach, the positive influence of the arts on resilience is always the starting point, but the balance between the final artistic product and the process leading to it is determined according to what a project requires. With an eye for diversity and inclusivity, Bewogen Werken’s projects are shaped and carried out by a team of professional artists, individuals from various client groups, and arts therapists. In this way, ‘Bewogen Werken’ aims to give participants in its projects a face and a voice, and to challenge prevailing definitions of these themes.
